    Date & Time
    Thursday, November 21, 2024, 1:45 PM - 2:45 PM

    Description

Participants are invited to participate in a two-part session focused on examining youth suicide and crisis response resources. In part one of the session, information on local efforts supporting youth suicide prevention and intervention will be provided to attendees. During the latter part of the session, facilitators will share more about the Policy to Practice: Suicide Intervention Toolkit specifically, produced by San Diego County Office of Education’s Student Wellness and School Culture Department. The toolkit has been recognized as a Golden Bell Award Winner by the California School Boards Association (CSBA) and includes protocols, templates, and resources that align with best practices in suicide intervention. Participants will engage in facilitated discussions to identify opportunities to adapt and promote components of the toolkit for use beyond school campuses to involve and support the broader community.
