San Diego County’s looming health & human services workforce shortage can be solved together! In 2022, the San Diego Workforce Partnership projected a shortage of 18,700 behavioral health workers by 2027. As our population grows, ages, and becomes more diverse, our health & human services workforce is also aging, isn’t growing fast enough, and doesn’t adequately reflect our communities. The Live Well Center for Innovation & Leadership, an academic-practice partnership between the County of San Diego Health & Human Services Agency and San Diego State University, is uniting to inspire & prepare students to pursue careers in health & human services. Session participants will learn about this collaboration to better coordinate, leverage, and increase resources available to inspire & prepare diverse students for fulfilling careers. Join us for a visionary discussion about how we can join together to inspire & prepare the next generation of health & human services workers and leaders.
