  • Recommendations to escape the social trap

A major driver for early SmartPhone and social media use for our teen was the pandemic. He’s a very social person and the thought of denying him his connection with friends seemed more detrimental to his mental health at the time. As we move further away from those pandemic years, I see the need to delay phone use in teens (I like the idea of making a pact with other parents!), but looking forward to hearing what recommendations the panel will have for teens already in the "social trap."

  • The role grandparents can play

by June , 10 days ago
I’m wondering what role grandparents can play. We can’t control whether or not our grandchildren have access to social media or how much that access is unless it occurs under our roof. Aside from that what can we do to support our grandchildren and to educate our adult children in a way that they will be open to?
